Great set of tips! I am currently trying out both the Nikon Z6ii and Sony A7Riii and am having a bit of a challenge in settling in to one system, and getting comfortable with it. I too often get frustrated and grab the other rig when I am not getting acceptable results.

Hey Steve,
On the Sony A1 how do you determine whether to use AF tracking or not with a particular AF area?
Some of it is experience, some just trying it and seeing if it works. Most of the time, I sort of default to tracking. If I engage tracking and see it isn’t sticking very well, I move my thumb and engage the AF area normally. It’s a pretty quick operation. See this video for my setup:

Yeah………..that’s kind of how I do it. Was just wondering if I was missing something definitive but it seems like trial and error in most circumstances for me. Thanks for the reply.
