One question I’m constantly asked is, “How are you using your Z9 in the field for wildlife work?”
This video answers that question. 🙂
I was originally going to do “just another Z9 review,” but the truth is I think at this point a video that talks about how the state-of-the-art features of the Z9 are helping me in the field is probably more useful.
So, in this video I’ll cover how I’m taking advantage of some of the flag-ship level features of the Z9 and how it’s helping me send more keepers to the cards. Take a look, I think you’ll really like this one!
PS – If you enjoyed this post, I think you’ll REALLY like my e-books and video workshops! Thousands of pages and hours of videos filled with tips, tricks, and techniques – all my best content! Check ’em out – click here (hey, it’s free to look).

By seeing Nikon the first thing that came into my mind is its gadgets. How good to use Nikon products without a survey with the tools of lowes.com/survey? Share your experience with us.
Do you find that Lifghtroom is still they way to go with all these extra files?
Steve, I seriously disappointed to hear that you’ve ditched your a full review of the “Flagship” Z9.
Even though it may be later than others, a lot of us have waited patiently for the “Masters” review. I gone back a watched your old reviews and always learn something new and helpful.
Does that mean, that you will not publish a full review the Z9? A lot of people would appreciate your review, even if it is more than a year after the release of the Z9.
As alway: Thanks for the great content!
Continues in the long tradition of excellent videos. Thank you much.
Another great video Steve. My question has to do with saving all those images from burst shooting in the field.Previously you put out a video on how to use Lightroom to back up images while traveling. Do you find that Lifghtroom is still they way to go with all these extra files? I find Lightroom is very slow. It takes ages to render large numbers of files. Do you recommend Fast Raw Viewer or Photo Mechanic for fast backups in the field then transfer to Lightroom at home?
I’m still using Lightroom and not really doing much with the images in the field. For some reason, Lightroom is noticeably slower with my Z9 files than my a1 files. I think I’m just going to get a new laptop and not worry about any of it 🙂
The thing is, I’ve used Photo Mechanic in the past – and it’s great – but there’s part of me that can’t resist looking closer at an image in the develop module and I can’t do that as readily with PM.
I learned more from your 15 minute video than reading manuals for hours that were written by other authors. Thank you once again!
Thank you!
This Nikon z9 is featured to crank up keeper rate and it is commonly used. The purple cv reviews these e-books and they also have some video workshops for those who want to learn technical things about this Z9.
