I got the z8. It’# great but the auto iso with manual doesn’t seem to work. I short a z6ii and it works fine bit the z8 just stays at a-3200. Exposure comp also doesn’t work in this mode. However, auto iso and exposure comp work fine in all the other modes. WHat am I missing?

Does using the FTZ adapter to connect the 500 PF to the Z8 cause any loss of image stabilization, f stops/light? Is there any quality degradation using this DSLR lens with this mirrorless camera? Any issues at all with this combo? Thank you!

When do you expect to have the Z 8&9 book ready?

I want to see some images shot at ISO values around 15000-18000, where I shoot sometimes for sports and indoor events. Wondering if the noise is worse than the Z6 ii—which is pretty good at those high ISO values. Thanks

I shoot a lot of osprey’s diving. When they’re in the sky, my Z7 locks on in AF-C narrow and the 500PF without issue, but when they dive the camera almost always transfers focus to the trees in the background. Will the Z8 hold lock on the bird in such an environment? If so, what are the recommended settings for such a situation? BTW, I have your Z system AF ebook.

If the Z8 is bigger than the Z9 with a battery pack, once you figure in the cost of the battery pack you might as well spend an extra $500 and buy the Z9.

Steve,
Does the Z8 do focus shifting and if yes, what is your opinion of it?

As a potential Z8 & switch to mirrorless buyer, Thanks for the vid. A couple of questions. With the swapable battery, does the camera automatically switch back to Battery A? Also if you do any handheld macro with insects like butterflies, bees, etc. , how does the Z9/8 do grabbing focus (if you want to include a Sony comparison would be nice)? And last, did Nikon say what was found to cause your problems with the Z9? Thank you for any replies.
