Blue Skies Without A Polarizer

When I talk about polarizers, people are often surprised that I don’t use one for enhancing blue skies (the most common use for that filter). Instead, I have a handful of photoshop tricks that I like better. (for more on polarizers, click here)

Well, that generated a ton of questions about how the heck to do it, so I decided to make the video below. In the video, I’ll show you – step by step – just how I use photoshop to create stunning blue skies, no polarizer required. In my opinion, these techniques tend to give me better-looking skies than a polarizer typically does even with wide angle lenses. Check out the video for the scoop:
