Before we proceed to the checkout, I wanted to take a minute to explain how this works.
Basically, what you’re purchasing is not the book itself, but a code your gift recipient can use to “purchase” the book for free. This way, the book will be under their name and e-mail address so if they need any assistance everything matches up. Additionally, this makes it easier for them to get (free) updates to the book down the road.
Here’s how it works:
Step 1 – You purchase the gift code for them and you will receive that code via e-mail.
Step 2 – You give them the code plus a link to the site (you can put this into an e-mail to them or write the code in a greeting card for a nicer presentation). NOTE – The system does NOT deliver the code to them, that’s up to you.
Step 3 – They head to the site and add the book to their cart.
Step 4 – When the checkout page appears, they simply enter the code you gave them and it discounts the book to zero.
Step 5 – They complete the process and download the book.
